Our origins
A long-standing history in mushrooms
Asiago Food tells the story of wild mushrooms and berries brought to the tables of Italians, and it is the story of Monica and Massimo, the two founders still in the company today. A modern and ancient tale together, local and global, personal and communal, born over 40 years ago in the cultural and environmental context of the Seven Municipalities of the Asiago Plateau. A territory that, since ancient times, has made shared cultural identity and the enhancement of local specificities its strength.
Asiago Food was born with the idea of Massimo and his wife Monica to make the fruits of that territory, mushrooms and berries, available to people, initially in the area of the Seven Municipalities and later throughout Italy and the world, working passionately to create not just a simple linear supply chain, but a system in which each actor contributes to making the production process the final product. Asiago Food has grown significantly since then, maintaining the same values connected with the local territory, the produce of the land and the local people. They have been so successful as to be able to integrate themselves into a culturally-similar new context: the silvopastoral communities of Bulgaria.

Specializing in the selection and commercialization of frozen mushrooms and berries, Asiago Food is a global benchmark thanks to a range founded on authenticity and innovation.
The excellence of our offer is based on constant control throughout the entire supply chain. We coordinate every stage between our harvesting centers in Bulgaria and our facility in Italy, ensuring full compliance with our rigorous quality standards. Our operational model combines our technicians' expertise with the most advanced processing technologies, guaranteeing high standards and sustainable processes.
At the Veggiano (PD) plant, the entire production cycle is subject to constant monitoring. A specialized team oversees the quality of raw materials, finished products, and packaging safety, ensuring excellence at every stage. The results confirm Asiago Food's leadership in the sector: a harvesting capacity of over 10 tons per day and more than 2 million packs distributed annually across Retail (GDO), Foodservice, and the food industry in 30 countries.
The strength of our supply chain also lies in a capillary and versatile logistics network, capable of precisely managing the diverse needs of our global partners. From high-volume industrial supplies to specific solutions for professional catering and retail, we ensure a punctual and customized service. Our direct presence on the ground allows us to shorten the time between harvesting and processing, ensuring that every delivery meets the highest standards of freshness and food integrity.
This direct oversight not only safeguards the quality of the final product but also allows us to optimize every workflow for sustainability. We pursue this commitment through a conscious use of resources and the use of modern photovoltaic systems that cover a large part of our energy needs. Significantly reducing CO2 emissions means actively protecting the very ecosystems where our fruits grow, promoting responsible production that looks to the future of the territory.
Organic Production
Preserving the pure essence of nature
Asiago Food’s harvesting areas and cultivations are located in Bulgaria, in ecologically protected territories entirely dedicated to organic farming. Here, under the supervision of expert Italian agronomists, premium quality berries and porcini mushrooms are harvested, born in a pristine ecosystem.
For us, choosing organic means respecting the balance between man and nature at every stage of transformation. We exclude the use of artificial substances and invasive technologies, preserving the raw material so that it reaches the table healthy and intact. In this context, human intervention does not alter the product but supports and protects it through constant and conscious monitoring.
This vision is intertwined with a profound ethical commitment that goes beyond simple certification: it is a defense of the territory, biodiversity, and the dignity of work. Every one of our organic products, from porcini mushrooms to wild berries and cultivated fruits, strictly complies with European regulations and reflects a philosophy that guides us from harvest to the moment of consumption. Sanafrutta™ technology
To ensure the utmost reliability of our products, in 2015 we patented the process technology called SANAFRUTTA™, which, thanks to a special treatment, reduces the risk of contaminants in frozen berries, without altering their organoleptic and nutritional characteristics.

The Organic standard attests to Asiago Food's commitment to sustainable agriculture since 2000. The current certifying body is Bioagricert Srl, a control organization officially authorized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry (MASAF).
BRC Global Standard

BRCGS Food Safety is an international standard that guarantees the quality and hygiene-sanitary safety of products. The goal is to strengthen food safety across the entire supply chain, constantly monitoring every phase and ensuring full process traceability.
