Practical and versatile, they can be prepared in minutes: sautéed in a pan with oil or butter and herbs, they are excellent served with polenta or with main courses of meat and fish. You can use them to garnish pizzas, focaccias, lasagna, savory pies, to make creams and purees. For a mouthwatering one-pot meal, try gratin them in the oven with potatoes.

Cook before eating. Thawing unnecessary. Quickly rinse the frozen porcini under running water, let them drain and use them in your recipes as you would with fresh mushrooms.

In a frying pan: brown two cloves of garlic in a little olive oil, pour in the porcini cubes and cook over a high flame for 10-15 minutes or according to cooking preference, adding salt and pepper. Season to taste with chopped parsley or herbs of your choice to bring out full flavor.
